Technical Accounting Advisory Group - Manager, Commodities Quantitative and Commercial Advisory at EY. The Quantitative and Commodities Center (QCC) provides specialized advisory services to companies with commodity operations and exposure, including procurement, marketing, trading, risk management. The team consists of individuals with deep industry knowledge, technical quantitative skills, and project experience, assisting with analytical support in complex commodity risk topics such as hedging, trading and procurement optimization, market risk management, reporting tools, and complex contract modeling across energy, environmental, agriculture, metals, and soft commodities. Responsibilities
Contribute to risk management modeling, portfolio analysis, valuation, and data science activities across a range of commodities and commercial objectives. Develop quantitative financial models for commodity and financial contracts, including market factor simulation techniques and a variety of stochastic and numerical methods. Use and enhance proprietary valuation models, selecting appropriate inputs and techniques. Leverage machine learning techniques and statistical programming packages to analyze commodity instruments. Present results to internal and external stakeholders, using modern data visualization tools. Prepare client reports describing work performed, considerations, recommendations and outcomes. Adapt analytics approaches to new commodity, financial, and renewables markets and client objectives. Collaborate within project teams and work independently with a flexible, problem-solving mindset. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of related experience; or graduate degree with 2 years in a quantitative discipline (quantitative finance, mathematics, statistics, financial engineering, engineering, economics and econometrics). Experience in VBA and at least one of R or Python; strong Microsoft Excel skills. Familiarity with derivatives pricing models and computational finance; familiarity with market factor simulation techniques and stochastic/numerical methods. Interest in financial and commodity markets and related instruments. Ability to work within a budget and schedule, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment; ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple tasks and stakeholders. Strong work ethic, communication skills, and a flexible, positive, solution-oriented mindset. Ability to complete an approved certification within 2 years of hire; willingness to travel and work extended hours when necessary. Access to reliable transportation to EY office and client sites; driver’s license recommended. What We Offer You
