Assists in ensuring and monitoring safety in the workplace including the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with established company, environmental and government regulations
Responsibilities
Facilitate EH&S Training
Conduct EH&S/SAFE “self” audits
Lead/Conduct Job Safety Analysis
Work with staff to address safety concerns, findings from Gemba walks or those raised during Safety meetings
Maintain an EH&S management system for Northborough that meets the TE Safety Assessment for Effectiveness (SAFE), maintain TE environmental sustainability programs, ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, TE policies and TE environmental sustainability programs, ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, TE policies and TE specifications and provides for continuous improvement in EH&S performance
Engage Northborough MPDE & PDE team to sustain EHS management systems for example TE’s S.A.F.E. program
Create & Deliver training programs to ensure those involved in all aspects of bulk cable development have the tools necessary to carry out their duties in a safe manner and environment
Deliver training programs to ensure those involved in maintaining the organization’s EHS programs awareness of their responsibilities and how to discharge them. Provide training for all employees in support of achieving 100% engagement in EHS.
Ensure the effective implementation & maintenance of TE’s safety program including but not limited to: Lockout Tag Out (LOTO), Machine Guarding, Behavior-based Safety, Hazardous Materials, Compliance reporting etc..
Participate in incident investigation, advise on appropriate/”Effective” corrective actions.
Engage with site staff to conduct regular risk assessments, quantification of risks, prioritization of risks. Ensure effective risk control measures are put in place.
Address/close out TE & 3rd party audit findings
Ensure site lead is appraise of all EH&S issues
Assist with the development of facility EHS goals and budget
What your background should look like
1-3 years experience
Have received a BA/BS Degree in, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies, Industrial Engineering or related major from an I accredited college or university or have equivalent work history.
Knowledge of US & Massachusetts Environmental laws and regulations are a must
Good communication skills
Good interpersonal skills

Compensation
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $77,000 – $97,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
