Business Overview Novanta’s Corporate and Shared Services teams play an important role in executing the company’s strategic mission and operations. Included in Corporate and Shared Services are the business functions including Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Compliance, Corporate Development and Corporate Marketing. The Corporate and Shared Services teams work closely with all Novanta business units to support operating initiatives contributing to the organization’s financial success. Summary The Global Treasury Manager will be responsible for global treasury operations, foreign currency management, working capital management, insurance and debt management. Reporting directly to the Treasurer, this position will interact with Accounting, Tax, F&A, Legal, T&E, and external banking partners. Primary Responsibilities Debt Management Oversee debt activities and covenant compliance Manage debt maturities, handle interest payments, and accruals Foreign Exchange Risk Management Manage the company’s FX program Analyze the effectiveness of the hedge program Prepare board reports Strategic Financial Planning Build a monthly cash forecasting model, utilizing cash through dividends and royalties Manage intercompany capital structure (prepare dividend declarations, intercompany loans, and return of capital) Cash Management Manage worldwide banking activity, including cash positioning, internal and external cash transfers, payment services, account administration and controls Merchant Processing System Administration, support Business Units Implement if required by Business Units Internal Controls and Compliance Maintain strong internal control system to ensure SOC compliance Regularly evaluate and enhance control mechanisms Perform KYC Insurance Management Support the Director of Risk Management & Insurance by collecting information for renewal and preparing presentations as needed Company Card Program Support the Global T&E Manger, issue Domestic and International Cards Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, MBA, and CTP preferred Experienced in TMS, such as GTreasury and/or Kyriba Technology and System efficiency: excellent Excel skills, Oracle, SAP, FCCS, etc. Ability to bring innovative approaches in analyzing and solving problems; The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated individual with excellent organizational skills, a proactive demeanor, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines Experience with and understanding of Corp Treasury, Insurance and Accounting concepts and challenges Excellent communication and collaboration skills, experience with and understanding of Corp Treasury and Accounting concepts and challenges
