EOG is seeking an experienced and motivated land professional to fill the position of Senior Staff Title Analyst within our Land Administration department. The Senior Staff Title Analyst is responsible for supporting the leasing, operations, and production objectives of EOG's domestic division offices. The Senior Staff Title Analyst is responsible for lease and contract analysis, joint interest billing and division of interest setup, and maintenance of current interest ownership across all records.
Responsibilities
Review and maintain lease ownership, payments, and obligations
Monitor lease status, transferring acreage to producing based on plats and unit summaries
Communicate with division Land personnel to tender lease extensions, minimum royalties, shut-in payments, and all other required payments
Set up and apply terms of contracts, including Communitization Agreements, Unit Declarations, Joint Operating Agreements, and Farmouts
Perform well record maintenance for EOG operated properties based on information received from division Operations
Build and maintain joint interest billing decks
Set up and maintain division of interest decks for revenue distribution, including calculation/verification of net revenue interest, identification of title requirements for suspense purposes, application of lease deduct provisions, creation of burden groups, and calculation of APO interests
Communicate effectively with interest owners to timely resolve inquiries and obtain necessary documents for title curative and owner account updates
Analyze curative and conveyance documents such as deeds, probate, and assignments to update mineral, royalty, and working interest ownership
Verify EOG's interest in outside operated wells
Assist with acquisition, divestiture, due diligence, audits, data conversions, escheat, and other special projects
Collaborate with Land, Legal, Accounting, and other EOG departments to ensure company success
Perform all duties in compliance with EOG's SOX control functions and processes, focusing on data integrity
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Land, Land Administration, or mineral/royalty title-related work
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Comfortable learning new computer applications
Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
Self-motivated and eager to participate in training/mentoring opportunities, professional organizations, and industry seminars/conferences
Professionalism in handling confidential and proprietary information
Ability to work independently with good decision-making skills while meeting deadlines
Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced experience in lease, contract, and/or division order maintenance
Knowledge of Federal leases and units maintenance
Tobin Land Suite (TLS) experience
Professional certification - CDOA, CPLTA, RPL
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
