The Job As a Payroll Analyst at VEG, you will ensure our VEGgies are paid accurately and on time. Your role involves analyzing payroll data, resolving issues, and improving processes. We seek detail-oriented, tech-savvy problem solvers who are eager to learn, collaborate, and make a significant impact behind the scenes.
Responsibilities
Review payroll data during processing, ensuring accuracy in gross to net calculations, including earnings, deductions, and garnishments.
Analyze employment cycle data (terminations, hires, changes) and recommend corrections or system improvements.
Assist in payroll execution by preparing reports, reconciliations, and schedules using tools like vlookups and pivot tables.
Coordinate with the Senior Manager of Payroll Operations to resolve issues.
Ensure payroll outputs align with our pay structure.
Identify and suggest efficiencies in payroll review processes.
Respond to employee inquiries to provide a positive payroll experience.
Collaborate with the payroll team and respond promptly to communications.
Requirements
3-5+ years of payroll experience, including multi-unit/multi-state regulations.
Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of Workday is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
High discretion and integrity handling sensitive information.
