$65,000 - $80,000 Timberline Bank is hiring for a Universal Banking Specialist III to build on the Universal Banker II level by handling more complex business services and advanced cash management solutions. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, tackling intricate client needs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and training/supporting new hires in teller and account management functions. This position requires a high level of expertise and problem-solving skills and contributes to the branch’s operational success and team development.

Position Summary

The Universal Banking Specialist III is a full-time, non-exempt role that builds on the Universal Banker II by handling more complex business services and advanced cash management solutions. In this position, you will deliver exceptional customer service and tackle intricate client needs while ensuring compliance with banking regulations. You will also play a crucial role in training and supporting new hires, helping them master teller and account management functions. This role demands a high level of expertise and problem-solving skills, contributing significantly to the branch’s operational success and team development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide quality customer service promptly and courteously at all times. Determine customers' needs, offer solutions to meet those needs, and engage in ongoing problem-solving. Maintain complete confidentiality regarding sensitive customer and proprietary information. Assist with customer service-related issues and resolve problems in a timely manner. Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues in person, over the phone and via email in an efficient, timely, and professional manner. The Universal Banking Specialist III works with the Assistant Retail Banking Manager and the Retail Banking Officer or Senior Consumer Lender to identify, analyze, and offer cash management products and services to established business customers and targeted prospective corporate clients. Assist in building and maintaining relationships with business customers. Perform hands-on customer setup and service maintenance for all cash management products and services. Travel to client sites for equipment and software installation, training, and troubleshooting, adhering to Timberline Bank policies. Provide cash management support by reviewing documentation for accuracy, tracking exceptions, and troubleshooting technical issues in person, over the phone, and via email. Support cash management products by reviewing setup documentation, completing system setup, and training customers and the Universal Banking Team. Serve as a backup to the Universal Banking Team by opening deposit accounts and assisting with customer inquiries about bank services, including research and timely responses. Inform customers about procedures for services such as ATM cards, direct deposit, and certificates of deposit. Possess thorough knowledge of business online banking, remote deposit capture, wire transfers, mobile banking, and other complex business solutions. Open both walk-in business and personal deposit accounts and address related customer queries. Promote non-interest income products, including merchant services and credit cards, and assist with RFPs. Adhere to audit, security, and compliance guidelines, with a solid understanding of relevant policies and procedures. Ensure accurate teller drawer balancing in compliance with bank policies and assist with out-of-balance research. Oversee teller activities to adhere to bank policies, and provide support with cash discrepancies, daily balancing, and transaction overrides. Perform research on and resolve fraudulent debit card transactions, including disputes, limit adjustments, placing holds, and stop payments. Assist with domestic and international wire transfers, including understanding wire procedures, fees, and customer inquiries, and collaborate with the Wire Team to resolve issues. Process teller transactions efficiently, meeting cash handling and disbursement standards. Serve as a backup for the Assistant Retail Banking Manager and/or Deposit Operations Leader in preparing and verifying cash shipments, branch orders, and foreign currency orders. Monitor ATM usage and maintenance on a weekly basis. Actively participate in customer solution activities, including researching and resolving customer inquiries and concerns, participating in wire transfer activities, and handling funds transfers such as line of credit advances and account-to-account transfers. Assist with training new Universal Banking Specialists on teller and new accounts functions. Support new hires in mastering teller operations, customer service, and account management. Provide ongoing assistance and solutions to ensure effective performance and integration within the Universal Banking Team. Expected to regularly attend internal departmental trainings, including but not limited to New Accounts, Risk Management, Deposit Operations, Security, Customer Excellence, and other related sessions as assigned. Meet performance goals, referred to as "rocks," as assigned by the Assistant Retail Banking Leader. Duties may be expanded as experience is gained and professional goals are achieved.

Required Knowledge and Expertise

High School Diploma or GED. Colorado Notary preferred. Banking Knowledge:

Expert understanding of complex banking services, including advanced business solutions, cash management, and regulatory compliance. Communication and Organizational Skills:

Exceptional ability to communicate clearly and manage multiple priorities, with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle intricate problem-solving scenarios. Team Collaboration:

Proven leadership in fostering team collaboration, including training new team members and supporting team development while maintaining positive team dynamics. Regulatory Knowledge:

Extensive knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements, with the ability to oversee and ensure adherence to these standards across various banking functions. Ongoing Education:
