The Mortgage Loan Officer is responsible for origination, relationship management, and proactive sale of residential mortgage loans. This role acts as a bridge between borrowers and lenders, guiding clients through the mortgage process to help them achieve their homeownership goals. Business Development
Build customer relationships through advising and servicing mortgage loans. Review, analyze, and process residential real estate loan applications. Maintain accurate data and coordinate with processors, underwriters, and customers throughout the pipeline. Develop and maintain referral networks with realtors, builders, and real estate professionals. Achieve profitability and performance standards. Cross-sell additional Choice Financial services. Represent Choice Financial in the community and business development activities. Ensure loans are closed timely as agreed with customers and the bank. Compliance
Stay updated on compliance changes, certifications, and regulations. Maintain knowledge of rules related to private and government-insured mortgages. Follow controls, guidelines, and procedures for secondary market pricing and expirations. Know bank and insurance lending guidelines. Other General & Administrative
Submit applications for processing verification. Communicate with applicants to resolve discrepancies. Follow policies, procedures, and industry changes. Perform duties outside normal scope as assigned. Requirements
4-year degree in Business Management, Sales, Marketing, or related field. 3-5 years mortgage origination experience. Active and in good standing NMLS registration. Familiarity with mortgage loan components, language, and terms. Ability to work independently. Attention to detail, reliability, and honesty. Additional Details
