Field Accounts Representative - South Houston, TX (USABLUEBOOK) is a position focused on selling to the established book of business within the South Houston territory. USABlueBook (a division of HD SUPPLY) is the recognized source of products and technical support for professional water and wastewater operators. Job Summary
Drive profitable sales growth by prospecting new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and expanding opportunities with current customers in core and emerging industries and markets to meet yearly sales goals. This position requires operating a personal vehicle and such operation is done consistently more than 20% of the average work week. If selected for this position, the company will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. An acceptable MVR report is a requirement of this position.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers across all levels of an organization to ensure long-term sustainability.
Manage sales with existing customers while actively prospecting and acquiring new customers to expand and diversify the customer base.
Develop and implement plans to expand business presence in the assigned area.
Share market insights and competitor information with relevant channels to foster partnerships.
Collaborate with leadership to analyze market trends and customer needs, informing sales strategies and initiatives.
Attend monthly business meetings for company-sponsored associations, engage in local trade shows, and represent the organization in regional or national activities as necessary.
Nature and Scope
Demonstrates skill in data analysis by resolving missing or inconsistent information in complex data sets.
Work generally requires increasing independence with supervision for unusual or complex problems.
May provide general guidance or training to junior staff.
Work Environment
Typically in a comfortable environment with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, or odors.
Moderate physical activity; may involve lifting or handling items of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline with 2-5 years of experience in a related field, or MS/MA with 2-4 years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience
Reside in South Houston or surrounding areas with reliable transportation.
Competitive base salary + commission + full benefits.
Business-to-business (B2B) field sales with a large volume of product lines experience.
Knowledge of water and wastewater management.
Proficiency in MS Excel and Salesforce, or similar CRM.
Experience with consultative or solution selling is preferred.
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a remote position.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
