Our client is a national investment and operating platform focused on building and scaling next-generation industrial real estate. Backed by substantial institutional capital, the firm is acquiring and operating strategically located assets across the U.S. to support long-term growth in supply chain infrastructure. The organization integrates real estate expertise, operational capabilities, and technology to create value across its portfolio. The Role
The Senior Vice President of Accounting will lead all aspects of the company’s accounting and financial reporting function. This executive will oversee corporate, property-level, and fund-related accounting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with best practices for a REIT structure. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the SVP will manage the accounting and treasury teams while partnering closely with acquisitions, asset management, and investor relations. Key Responsibilities
Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP Oversee accounting at both the corporate and asset levels, including rental income recognition, expense allocations, and capital programs Manage valuations, impairment reviews, and depreciation schedules for investment properties Direct accounting treatment of acquisitions, dispositions, and capital market transactions Coordinate annual audit processes and tax filings with external audit/tax advisors Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely investor reporting packages Build, manage, and develop high-performing teams within the accounting and treasury functions Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with a concentration in real estate or investment management 5+ years in public accounting, ideally with a Big 4 firm In-depth knowledge of GAAP, including ASC 842 (leases) and ASC 820 (fair value) Experience with REIT compliance and taxation Proficiency with enterprise-grade ERP systems (Netsuite or equivalent) Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data tools to drive process improvements Excellent communication, leadership, and team development abilities
