The Cigna Group Business Analyst – AI, Data Science, Research & Insights Organization
This role reports into the Cost Transparency Agile Release Train (ART) within the Global Data & Analytics organization in Evernorth. This role will be responsible for supporting key activities and components of the Cost Transparency initiative within a dedicated Scrum team. Major areas of focus may include any of the following: hospital price transparency, inbound and/or outbound machine-readable files.
Guidance has been issued through the Departments of Treasury, Labor, and Health and Human Services that require health plans and health insurance issuers to disclose certain pricing information. Pricing information must be made available publicly through machine-readable files.
The individual in this role will work with an innovative team to enable the successful completion and implementation of the various Cost Transparency requirements. This role provides the ability to demonstrate how data analytics and capabilities can strategically advance a competitive affordability position within the industry and achieve broader organizational goals. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with key stakeholders, business partners, and IT matrix partners to manage scope and understand key requirements.
Exercise considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment to scope complex data issues and identify solutions for implementation.
Prepare for and participate in key planning sessions and cross-functional meetings.
Deliver expert content/professional leadership on complex assignments/projects related to price transparency.
Develop analytic solutions that meet the needs of the team and key stakeholders.
Engage in the development and testing of coding logic and ensure appropriate documentation is completed and shared throughout each process.
Exhibit in-depth understanding of data and leverage data in an appropriate manner to effectively communicate with leadership and key business stakeholders.
Provide guidance and support on initiatives across the Cost Transparency ART as needed. Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree required in preferred fields of Finance, Economics or Data Science or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of healthcare or data analytics experience solving complex business problems using data tools and analytical processes.
Proficient in using analytics and reporting tools to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities to achieve goals and drive results.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
Previous work experience applying a combination of analytical, technical and business acumen.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed environment and effectively communicate with leadership and business partners.
Capably support end –to-end testing and implementation activities, with strong documentation skills required. Key Competencies
Previous Agile or advanced analytics experience preferred.
Strategic Mindset Manages Ambiguity Drives Results Collaborates Business Insight For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 113,900 - 189,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
