Business Manager - Anti-Money Laundering, Models and Advanced Data Insights

at Capital One. The Anti-Money Launduring (AML) Modeling and Advanced Data Insights team modernizes how Capital One identifies potential money laundering, terrorist financing, and human trafficking through advanced analytic techniques, statistics, and machine learning models. The team develops data sourcing, predictive models, monitoring, and reporting using tools such as AWS, Snowflake, Python, and Spark. As the model developer for advancing transaction monitoring with machine learning, the team is responsible for end-to-end development, deployment, and monitoring of these critical risk management models. Responsibilities

Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive success in the face of changing consumer and regulatory demands. Execution: Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements, and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently. Partnership: Collaborate with Tech, Model Risk, Lines of Business, and other groups to drive improvements in quality, volume, service, and profitability. Strategic & analytic orientation: Apply rigorous analytics and quantitative thinking to decision making and problem solving in areas such as analytic marketing and credit risk management. Leadership: Potentially manage and develop 1-2 analysts; coach and mentor to develop and retain talent. Business judgment and integrity: Demonstrate tenacious, responsible decision making and sound judgment. Executive communication: Strong written and oral communication with the ability to influence and drive alignment. Results orientation: Focus on achieving short- and long-term goals and driving an agenda in uncertain environments. Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, dynamic environment; prior consulting experience is a plus. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering) At least 2 years of experience in analysis Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering) 5+ years of experience in analysis 2+ years of experience in financial services 1+ year of experience in AML, Sanctions, Compliance, Risk or Fraud 2+ years of experience in people management 1+ year of model design, development and deployment experience 1+ year of supervised machine learning models experience 1+ year of experience with Python, SQL, or AWS Note:
