The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations with a focus on construction accounting, including job costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience using Sage Timberline and a strong understanding of construction-specific accounting processes. Requirements
Experience within construction, property management, or real estate development Experience with a large ERP system Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting Key Responsibilities
Perform daily accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks. Process payments to vendors, post transactions to GL, maintain requisite documentation. Perform bank and credit card account reconciliations Prepare and update month end close schedules and workbooks Prepare year-end reports and submissions, such as IRS Form 1099 Support Audit requests Support Ad hoc reporting requests Administrative duties related to setup and coordination of utilities and taxes with the construction team. Other general accounting duties as needed Qualifications
3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in residential construction. Proficient in Sage Timberline, or any other industry specific software Strong understanding of job costing, project accounting, and construction finance. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
