Law Clerk II

to perform litigation support duties. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the U.S. Department of Justice achieve their mission. Works under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or Project Manager performing complex legal research Preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc. Reviewing documents for relevance and privilege Assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation Acts independently and/or as a team leader on larger projects Primary interface with trial attorneys, experts, and other client staff as needed Assists in drafting of Program’s decisions that may set the foundation for subsequent administrative and judicial review Reviewing documents for relevance and privilege Demonstrated ability to discern the relevant issues in complex fact patterns Basic Qualifications

Requires Law degree, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least two years of study or an equivalent level of legal training or experience; or an equivalent level of education may be substituted 2+ years of progressively more responsible experience on litigation support projects or related tasks, with proven communication skills to interact with clients and attorneys Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw Hands-on familiarity with word processing, databases (document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging applications Familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent analytical skills Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Government and/or Litigation Support environment Experience with Relativity (preferred) Trial experience is helpful Experience with informal adjudications under an agency’s enabling act and regulations Experience handling large volumes of cases or claims Current or active clearance Compensation and Other

This position is covered under the Service Contract Act and is subject to minimum requirements. The pay for this position is $46.90/hr. In 2025, Leidos was ranked as one of the “World\'s Most Ethical Companies” by the Ethisphere Institute for the eighth consecutive year.
