Director, Fund/Client Accounting Manager role at BNY. The role involves management of the unit’s financial and human resources, development of business plans and functional strategies, and oversight of client relationships and compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities

Direct a Fund Accounting area consisting of multiple teams responsible for accounting services on behalf of a broad array of assigned clients, including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing reports. Manage financial and human resources for the unit, ensuring assigned teams operate effectively to meet unit goals and objectives. Execute business plans and contribute to the development of functional strategy, setting guidelines for NAV determination across funds and promoting consistency across product areas. Oversee relationship management for a broad set of clients, ensuring customer service levels meet client needs, resolving client issues, and participating in sales efforts including RFP and RFI preparation and presentations. Provide oversight and guidance in setting processes that ensure completeness and accuracy of disclosures in financial statements and resolve complex escalated issues from team members. Lead analysis of GAAP and IFRS rules to determine the impact of new regulations on fund accounting practices, develop policies to ensure compliance, and set guidelines for drafting financial reports for clients. Communicate reports and highly complex accounting intricacies to clients and oversee relationships with senior-level auditors and clients to ensure financial reporting meets expectations and accurately depicts fund performance. Recruit, direct, motivate, and develop staff to maximize contributions, professional growth, and team effectiveness. Manage multiple Fund/Client Accounting teams working for a broad array of clients, primarily through subordinate managers, contributing to the achievement of multiple team objectives. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 7-10 years of total work experience with at least 3-5 years in management preferred. Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred. Company Information
