General Administration
Provides administrative support to the VP of Risk and San Diego Office
Assists with daily insurance, bond and risk management services
Ability to quickly get a strong understanding of liability insurance, builder’s risk insurance and surety bonds in order to effectively explain coverages and develop problem-solving skills to help assist the project teams in an efficient manner
Builds and maintains relationship with executive leaders, project teams, Corporate Services and outside insurance and bonding brokers
Ability to effectively communicate with project teams and brokers on core job duties
Updates and maintains Risk Management Logs and databases
Resolves issues in a timely and professional manner
Uploads documents to shared drives and Project Management Portal
Notarizes signatures and seals documents
Provides California Division with administrative support as needed
Ability to work independently
Surety Bonds
Ensures timely procurement of Owner Bonds documents
Reviews and approves Subcontractor and Trade Contractor Bond documents
Follows up for corrections to Subcontractor and Trade Bonds in a timely manner
INSURANCE
Ensures timely procurement and distribution of Owner Certificates of Insurance
Reviews and approves Trade Contractor’s Certificates on CM Multi Prime projects
Ensures timely and accurate procurement of builder’s risk quotes
Takes the lead role in binding, extending and closing out builder’s risk policies
Works as a liaison between insurance broker and project team as needed
Obtains and reviews copies of Owner builder’s risk policies
Obtains Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) policies and documents
Assist project teams with Risk Management applications and OCIP enrollments
CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
Reviews Owner Contracts as needed to procure insurance and bond documents
Coordinates contractual CA Code requirements with VP of Legal
Creates Subcontractor project specific Insurance Requirements
RFP/RFQ Requests
Works with Marketing Department on Risk Management requirements for RFP/Q’s
Takes the lead role in procuring the required risk management documents and quotes
Qualifications
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, in verbal and written form, with diverse personalities in a team environment
Recognizes, reports and solves problems in a creative, positive, and constructive way and makes recommendations for improvements in systems, procedures and policies
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to use independent judgment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
Solid knowledge of office procedures
Ability to operate various office equipment (i.e. multiple line phone system, fax machine, copier, scanner, postage machine, printers, etc)
Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work with Procore and Company software.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma, GED or comparable experience
1-2 years’ of experience in a similar role
Experience within the insurance and construction industry beneficial, but not required
The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 annually.
