We’re partnering with a mission-driven early-stage startup in the deep-tech/energy space that’s redefining what’s possible in hardware innovation. This is a rare opportunity to get in early and build something from the ground up—literally. Our client is looking for their
first internal Accounting hire —someone who can roll up their sleeves, build foundational systems, and own the day-to-day accounting ops as the company scales. You’ll work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure the books are clean, the systems are scalable, and the financial infrastructure can keep pace with rapid growth. What You’ll Own
All core accounting functions—GL, AP/AR, bank transactions, cash management Financial statement consolidation across business units Building and maintaining the chart of accounts Vendor payments, customer billing, procurement tracking Working alongside FP&A and external accounting partners in the US and Canada Supporting compliance/reporting for federal, state, and local authorities Helping lay the groundwork for scalable accounting systems and processes Qualifications
Minimum 4 to 10+ years of progressive accounting experience (Big 4 or industry) Thrive in startup environments and love building from scratch Understand how to bridge technical teams and finance Experience with ERP systems (QuickBooks Online a plus) Bonus: CPA, manufacturing or cost accounting background Why This Role Rocks
