Overview
As a Senior Data Modeler, you will bring practical knowledge of agile development methodologies and engineering best practices. You will contribute to the quality and implementation of our software products for our customers. Responsibilities
Perform hands-on Data Modelling, adoption of modern software engineering & delivery practices Build Logical and Conceptual Data Models Engage in Ontological Modelling Gather and Publish Data Dictionaries Maintain data models in data modelling environments Capture data models from existing databases and record descriptive information Identify business needs, organize and define data, and create/maintain Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models Maintain appropriate Version Control on data models Participate in de-normalization of the data model and ensure impacted business rules are implemented via an alternative mechanism (e.g., trigger or application code) Collaborate with the App Dev team and DBA to create Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Models Present data designs and project approaches to the Data Review Board (DRB) for review and approval, and ensure DRB artifacts are created with clients Generate DDL and validate proper implementation Identify opportunities to reuse data and reduce redundancy across the enterprise Skills & Qualifications
8+ years of experience building semantic layers, and logical/conceptual data models Knowledge of modeling on Snowflake Banking products experience (Deposits, Loans, Core banking applications) is a must Understanding of architecture and design across all systems Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement Working proficiency in developmental toolsets Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices Ability to work in large, collaborative teams and contribute to an innovative culture Seniority & Employment
