Glanbia The Opportunity This role involves supporting and developing the Accounting and Control function in Flavors. Core responsibilities include cash management/application, customer and material reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, accounts receivable monitoring and accounts payable processing. Other key responsibilities include supporting the development of the Commercial/Operations Finance function and SAP/Systems integration that will take place in 2026/2027. Our team is responsible for financial reporting, planning, controls and business partnering with other internal/external stakeholders. This permanent position will report to the Assistant Financial Controller. Responsibilities
Key player in the day to day running of the finance function in Flavors Support the month end close process for Flavors and associated reporting and controls Support the consolidation of monthly results and feed into the monthly reporting process led by the GN consolidation team Play a key role in the Finance integration by demonstrating Glanbia Nutritionals way of working and participate in efforts to bring the Flavors team into the greater GN finance forum Accounts Receivable reporting and monitoring Payment processing in line with associated controls Support the Commercial/Operations finance function in Flavors as it evolves and key player in reporting KPIs and Commercial performance Key player in the overall finance and systems integration of Flavors and support Flavors finance team in this work. Be a key liaison between Flavors and GN Play a role in ensuring that the required accounting control procedures are in place and are effective. This includes the control and reconciliation of the Flavors Balance Sheet in line with the Balance Sheet responsibility matrix Key role in close process ensuring group deadlines are met Support the evolving financial planning process and associated reporting requirements Support financial process and systems improvement activity ensuring all GN financial planning and reporting process are optimized and aligned with overall GN reporting structures Cross-train with other GN analysts/teams and feed learnings back to Flavors finance team Skills and Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one to three years related experience and qualified CPA, CMA, CIMA, ACA or ACCA Strong financial acumen including strong technical accounting skills Effective leadership and influencing skills Ability to work in a cross functional matrix organization Hands on experience of using and operating SAP systems (preferably with knowledge of BCS) and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Provide leadership to others through example of sharing of knowledge/skill Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization Ability to write reports and correspondence Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routing database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Where and how you will work
