What You’ll Be Doing

Serve as accounting and finance resource for technical professionals on assigned projects.

Review contracts and other project documents for financial and reporting requirements.

Work closely with project managers and principals to ensure accuracy and proper accounting for job costs and earnings.

Generate invoices and supporting documentation based on contract terms and input from project managers and principals.

Manage collection of accounts receivable and reconciliation of cash receipts.

Prepare ad hoc reports and provide detailed and timely financial information to project managers, principals, and company management.

Monitor and analyze progress against budget and make recommendations to improve project performance.

Verify subcontractor and vendor invoices to ensure adherence to contract terms.

Advise on accounting best practices and act as authority on and within the context of GAAP and the firm’s internal accounting policies and procedures.

Maintain accounting files and records.

What You’ll Need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management (or equivalent).

5+ years of practical experience in general accounting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable preferred.

AEC industry experience or understanding a plus.

Government contracting and procurement experience a plus.

Experience with Deltek Vision a plus.

Detail oriented and organized with a commitment to responsiveness, follow through, and customer service.

Compensation The below range is a good faith estimate pursuant to applicable equal pay and pay transparency laws. The actual salary offered will be based on several factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications and work location.

Base salary is a part of SGH’s industry leading Total Compensation package. Our Total Compensation package includes base salary, pay for extra hours worked, an annual discretionary bonus program, generous paid time off, and health and wellness benefits with a special emphasis on substantial SGH contributions to medical insurance premiums and SGH’s Profit Sharing & 401(k) Plan.
