Overview

Graduate Assistant - Campus Life positions at MCPHS Boston. The Center for Campus Life seeks three graduate assistant roles to assist with creating and implementing educational, social and recreational programming for MCPHS Boston students. Responsibilities

Graduate Assistant Position #1 - Student Organizations and Leadership Co-supervise a team of ten student employees on the Assembly of Clubs and Professional Organizations to support approximately 80 student organizations Co-facilitate student employment trainings and ongoing professional development for student organization officers and advisors Co-facilitate weekly team meetings with the ACPO executive board to support planning, implementation, and evaluation of campus programming Support over 80 clubs and professional organizations by reviewing event requests, booking space, making purchases, and meeting with student leaders Attend monthly all-student organization meetings Present at least one training per semester for student organization leaders at the all-student organization meeting Meet with potential new student organizations and support them through the new student organization recognition process Host semesterly round tables for student organization advisors Manage weekly student organization bingo event series Assist with planning and implementation of the Campus Life Fair, Leadership Awards Banquet, and Senior Week Contribute to large-scale programs as needed Graduate Assistant Position #2 - Programming & Traditions Assist with budget, event approvals, training development, selection, and promotion for the Cardinal Activities Board (CAB) Attend weekly executive board meetings to advise on planning, implementation, and evaluation of programming Advise on CAB events and large-scale programs such as Cardinal Days, Taste of Cultures, Harvest Ball, and Clam BQ Assist with planning of Family Weekend and Orientation Manage the Cardinals Across the World Diversity wall Graduate Assistant Position #3 - Orientation and Student Government Assist with budget, event approvals, training development, selection and promotion for Team Leaders/Orientation Leaders (OLs) and Student Government Association (SGA) Attend weekly executive board meetings with SGA and Team Leaders to advise on programming efforts Attend weekly SGA e-board meetings; advise SGA Senate with bill creation and implementation Attend bi-weekly SGA Senate meetings and weekly meetings with President and Vice-President Assist SGA event coordinators with planning events, reserving spaces, purchases and marketing Coordinate large-scale programs such as SGA General Assembly and Cardinal Town Hall Coordinate Orientation and related activities, including Connect online orientation All Graduate Assistants Responsibilities Work on Campus Life large-scale programming including Campus Life Fair, ClamBQ, Graduating Class Celebrations, Orientation, Family Weekend, Harvest Ball, Late Night Breakfast, and Leadership Awards Banquet Work on campus-wide programming including College of the Fenway events, Open Houses, Accepted Student Days, and Commencement Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes for student leadership organizations Design and implement training for current and future student leaders Attend weekly CCL professional staff meetings Assist with the Cardinal Pride Portal and Center for Campus Life organization page Work with event software such as Campus Groups, University Tickets, Scala, and ASTRA Assist with departmental operations (room reservations, work orders, catering, reimbursements, billing, etc.) Collaborate on marketing, social media, and program campaigns Assist with departmental assessment and planning initiatives Participate in professional development and campus-wide/COF-wide committees as available Be available, visible, and approachable to students and attend community functions Other duties as assigned by the CCL professional staff Contributes to sustaining and enhancing an inclusive working and learning environment Requirements

Bachelor's degree Current graduate student pursuing a master's degree in higher education and/or student affairs administration, education, counseling, or related field concurrently with the position Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with internal and external customers Physical Requirements: standing, sitting, manual dexterity, ability to move between offices and floors Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure Apply
