San Diego . The Banker Development Program at California Bank & Trust is a credit and business development training program designed to grow well-rounded banking professionals with strong analytical and relationship management skills. Program Overview

The Banker Development Program Offers: Exposure to different lines of business within California Bank & Trust A solid foundation in the basics of banking and credit Opportunity to apply finance and accounting skills to credit and business risk and credit analysis Exposure to associates throughout the Enterprise Access to a network of BDP analysts Program Structure

The program consists of two phases that focus on education, experience, and exposure. Phase I - Initial Training Phase

The majority of training for the Banker Development Program will take place in San Diego, with additional trainings at Zions Bancorporation's headquarters in Salt Lake City and either Vectra Bank's headquarters in Denver or Amegy Bank's headquarters in Houston. During this portion, topics surrounding introductory banking, analytical concepts, and bank-specific administration will be covered. Case Studies and Discussion Sessions to review concepts introduced in self-study materials Training to perform credit underwriting according to bank policy Bank compliance and regulatory training courses Introductions to senior management Department tours to provide an overview of bank operations Phase II - Rotations

The primary objective of the Rotational Phase is on-the-job training, offering each Credit Analyst in-depth exposure to various banking lines and banking groups. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related subject Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 Completed 6 hours of college-level coursework in Accounting, including Managerial and Financial Accounting Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and proven problem-solving abilities Leadership skills and community involvement Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred Internship or prior work experience is preferred Benefits
