Overview

Tax Senior Manager – Financial Services Office – Fiduciary/Trust & Estate Tax Administration Services (FTEAS). EY is a leader in serving the global financial services marketplace. FTEAS provides fiduciary/court accounting services for trusts and estates. The Senior Manager is part of the leadership team, contributing to strategy and success of the FTEAS business. This role involves technical review of complex trust & estate fiduciary accountings, client relationship management, business development, staff supervision and development, recruiting, operational efficiency, and profitability, while ensuring compliance with EY processes and eDocs. What you'll do

Technical review of complex trust and estate accountings. Lead and supervise teams to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of work products. Manage client relationships and strive to retain client goodwill. Participate in business development, including weekly sales calls, client presentations, marketing efforts and business development meetings. Build relationships with potential new clients; attend industry conferences and events. Ensure client satisfaction by providing timely and effective responses to needs and compliance requirements. Provide estimates for new accounting work and prepare required documentation for new engagements; establish client/engagement codes; ensure independence and eDocs compliance. Collaborate with internal EY groups to cross-sell FTEAS and other EY lines of business. Facilitate communication and provide guidance to team members to meet engagement deliverables. Develop operational efficiencies to deliver timely, high-quality services and work products. Contribute to a flexible, stable, team-oriented working culture and staff development. Complete self-study courses to maintain fiduciary accounting knowledge and software proficiency; meet Firm continuing education requirements. Review engagement profitability, staff efficiency, and workload to meet deliverables. Oversee billing and follow-up with clients regarding collections. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline. CPA, EA, licensed Attorney, Professional Fiduciary or CTFA certification. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong technical fiduciary accounting skills. Experience reviewing complex accountings and IRS Forms 706, 1041 and K-1s; understanding of complex investments and tax concepts. Understanding of trust structures and trust terminology; ability to review and interpret trust agreements and estate planning documents. Ability to research state-specific principal and income acts and other relevant state laws. Strong management and leadership skills; strong client interaction and business development skills. Proficient with software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, company systems, and fiduciary trust software. Thorough understanding of fiduciary tax law and concepts required to prepare fiduciary/court accountings. Other Skills

10+ years of fiduciary/court accounting experience at a bank, law firm or CPA firm with a proven track record of managing staff and engagements. Experience with complex assets and large trusts and estates; experience with family offices a plus. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. What We Offer
