Accounting Ops Coordinator Duration:
7+ Months (could extend further) Job Overview: This role involves supporting the day-to-day accounting responsibilities generated by this position with a temporary employee, ensuring proper accounting across all Co-pack team locations during this period. Key Responsibilities: Manage accounting activities within SAP and coordinate directly with third-party co-packers and re-packers. Oversee daily and period-end accounting processes for clients including Quaker, Tropicana, Gatorade, and PCNA, involving third-party co-packers, re-packers, and distribution centers. Reconcile production, usage, receipts, and shipments. Conduct periodic inventory reconciliations and oversee annual physical inventory observations. Assist in the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Period Business Reviews. Collaborate with Contract Manufacturing Managers on results and issues related to co-packers. Troubleshoot business and system-related issues involving co-packers. Complete period-end financial close activities, analyze variances, and communicate findings to management. Support forecasting for manufacturing variances during budget updates. Develop bill of material standards, product costing, and overhead costs; explain year-over-year changes. Fulfill periodic SOX and accounting control requests. Complete Accounting Self-Assessment Guides. Perform additional duties such as invoice processing, pallet reconciliations, and special projects as needed. Qualifications
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; entry-level position with 0-1 years of relevant experience. Strong MS Excel skills required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. SAP experience is a plus but not mandatory. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated team player capable of navigating the organization and interacting across functions. Additional Information
