Nova Southeastern University is seeking a
Budget Analyst III
to join our central finance team and support one or more of our colleges. This role is critical in advancing NSU’s mission by driving financial planning, analysis, and compliance to ensure institutional goals are achieved.
What You’ll Do
Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets for assigned units.
Prepare reports comparing budgeted vs. actual revenues and expenses.
Identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
Review and approve expenditures, journal entries, and budget transfers.
Analyze revenue trends, tuition allocations, and program needs.
Provide financial advice, cost analysis, and budget recommendations.
Prepare special budget reports and support external reporting requirements.
Collaborate across departments to improve efficiency and align with strategic goals.
What We’re Looking For
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (preferred).
Experience:
4–6 years of accounting-related experience.
Strong knowledge of economics, accounting, and financial analysis.
Excellent skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and financial resource management.
Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
