Position overview and eligibility: This role supports translation of project proposals, RFQ analysis, pricing review and negotiation, budget control and invoice management. The position involves market research and data analysis of raw materials and components for future investments, as well as project management tasks and support for Leadership, Coordinators, and Admin inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
PROCUREMENT (30%): Complete and translate full business cases for Capital Investment; present capital investment cases to Senior Managers; issue RFQs, monitor bidding, and ensure cost accuracy; oversee PDC Supply inventory and purchasing costs; assist with negotiations and contracts; manage supplier performance and participate in supplier selection.
BUDGET CONTROL AND INVOICE MANAGEMENT (15%): Review and track project budgets and spending; collaborate to resolve budget differences; ensure invoices are accurate and processed on time; prepare expense reports.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT (15%): Support individual projects and collaborate with Project Managers; break down tasks, set timelines, assess risks; clarify requirements, scope, and objectives; monitor progress and communicate status; ensure resources are allocated appropriately.
ON TIME LAUNCH (15%): Monitor vendor activities to ensure timely delivery of materials; assist with purchase orders and invoices; oversee project deadlines and launches.
NETWORK SUPPORT (10%): Analyze equipment requirements based on headcount and volumes; collate CAPEX requests and submit budget summaries; monitor supplier performance on cost, quality and delivery.
OTHER DUTIES (15%): Support continuous improvement initiatives in purchasing; review project proposals; suggest improvements to purchasing systems; perform ancillary duties as requested by management.
Work Schedule & Travel Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Occasional travel required (about 5% per year).
What you will need
Education: High School/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience: 3–5 years of automotive industry experience preferred; 3+ years of project management; supplier relations, quotes and bidding, contracts administration; forecasting or ad hoc reporting; asset management; warehouse operations knowledge is a plus.
Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP desired; strong English and Korean communications; financial modeling, deal structuring and negotiation; organizational and analytical abilities; project management skills.
Employment type: Non-Exempt; Compensation: Hourly wage; typical range listed as $54,363.95 – $80,186.82.
