Aurex Group is partnered with a private equity–backed renewable energy firm seeking a

Director of Finance & Accounting . Reporting directly to the CEO, this role oversees financial operations at both the corporate and project levels and supports the company’s growth strategy. The Director of Finance & Accounting will serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, ensuring financial discipline, capital efficiency, and compliance as the business scales within the evolving renewable and energy transition markets. Key Responsibilities

Accounting, Reporting & Compliance

Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, payables/receivables, payroll, and project cost accounting. Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP. Manage audit and tax compliance processes with external advisors. Develop budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis across corporate and project activities. Monitor key financial and operating metrics to drive decision-making. Prepare reporting and presentations for senior leadership and the Board. Capital Markets & Treasury

Oversee cash flow forecasting, capital calls, and treasury management. Ensure compliance with financing and lending agreements; support corporate finance initiatives. Partner with investment teams on project financing—including debt, equity, refinancing, and tax equity structures. Establish and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures. Oversee ERP systems and ensure data integrity across financial operations. Manage insurance programs and broader risk management strategies. Build and mentor a high-performing finance team. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, development, and executive leadership. Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; MBA preferred. CPA designation strongly preferred. 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role. Deep knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with US tax law preferred. Experience across FP&A, project/corporate finance, treasury, risk management, and compliance. ERP systems expertise (Sage Intacct or similar). Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Location & Compensation
