This role requires a hybrid work arrangement, defined as working regularly in a Wipfli office, from home, and at client sites, which may vary locally, regionally, or nationally depending on industry alignment. Scheduled meetings at the client and office will require in-person attendance.
Responsibilities
Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive, and professional manner.
Prepare client correspondence, letters, emails, or other communications related to engagement planning and requests.
Prepare individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns and projections according to firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders.
Research tax issues as needed.
Communicate with engagement leaders regarding open items or other important matters promptly.
Adhere to prescribed budgets and deadlines.
Develop technical competency continuously.
Additional Responsibilities
Recognize potential issues and/or opportunities in engagements and discuss with engagement leaders.
Perform a limited number of tax return interviews as needed.
Provide technical assistance to clients.
Participate in core CPE programs.
Actively participate in community activities to develop positive relationships with community leaders and members.
Engage in firm-sponsored events for assigned product line clients and prospects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Qualifications
3+ years of relevant experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
CPA certification preferred; candidates actively pursuing CPA will be considered.
Prior accounting experience in a public accounting firm required.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Caseware, depreciation processing software, Tax preparation software (Axcess), Tax research software (RIA), and Go File Room is strongly desired.

Our compensation is fair, transparent, and competitive, considering each candidate's skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range is $83,000 to $125,000, with offers typically below the maximum to allow for future increases. Actual salary depends on various factors including location, skills, experience, and more.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
