Job Overview
We’re looking for a Jr. Project Accountant with a background in commercial construction to join our growing team. This entry-level, full-time role plays a critical part in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance on active construction projects. Location:

In-Person Only Responsibilities
What You'll Do: Lead and support the financial and fiscal management of construction projects Ensure compliance with contract requirements and company financial procedures Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Engineering teams Manage project cost accounting, forecasting, and billing cycles Assist with closeout procedures and ongoing project financial tracking Conduct job site visits as needed Key Responsibilities: Review and interpret owner contracts, addendums, and exhibits Process invoices and subcontractor payments Submit monthly payment applications and prepare client billing Maintain lien releases and subcontractor documentation Enter and verify payroll timesheets Generate weekly financial updates for project teams Support internal audits and project-specific accounting requests Monitor and validate insurance compliance and subcontractor enrollments Requirements
What We’re Looking For: MUST HAVE:
Commercial Construction Accounting experience Knowledge of Cost Accounting or Procore is highly preferred Strong grasp of GAAP principles and job costing practices High attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Benefits
