Base pay range: $100,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr Controller - Onsite. This Jobot Job is hosted by Melanie Courtney. This role is a critical tactical and strategic management position reporting to the platform company CFO with dotted line to the Division president. The Controller is a key leadership role in the management of the company and in the development and execution of short-term and long-term strategy. The company emphasizes a collaborative leadership team and the Controller is expected to be a true “business partner” across all functional areas and to positively influence the culture with internal teams, customers, suppliers and key third parties. Partners with the CFO to develop and implement goals, policies, priorities, financial strategy, metrics, and procedures for financial and operational management including budgeting and accounting. Establishes sound internal financial controls and develops procedures to continuously improve internal control systems. Leads preparation of ongoing financial statements and operating reports in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Reviews financial statements and operating reports with stakeholders, including gap analysis and recommendations to improve performance. Oversees timely and accurate processing of transactions and accounting data and ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all financial functions. Oversees compliance with DOL, IRS, 401(k), and medical regulations; oversees DCAA and other requirements for publicly-funded projects. Leads coordination with CPA firm for external audit materials, GAAP financial reporting, and tax compliance; manages annual audit and auditor relations. Responsible for monthly business review package and ownership/delivery of monthly reporting to the platform CFO. Prepares/analyses daily/weekly/monthly reports of key financial and operational metric trends. Initiates and optimizes strategies to improve cash flow and working capital. Assesses organizational performance against budgets with functional leaders and management. Manages banking and bonding requirements; leads ERP system deployment and operation. Ensures all employees embrace safety culture and compliance with safety initiatives. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA required; MBA desired. 5-10 years of experience as a Controller. Strong cost accounting skills, including standard costing and percentage of completion revenue recognition. Solid inventory management skills. Strong leadership and strategic thinking; ability to act as a proactive business partner. Excellent verbal/written communication; participates effectively in meetings and presents professionally. Ability to adapt to changing environments, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic with follow-through. Occasional travel, including overnight, if necessary. Ethics and integrity in dealing with people; commitment to core values and a positive work environment. Benefits
