Overview
Our client is looking for a
Vice President of Human Resources . The Vice President of HR plans, directs, implements, and oversees human resources policies and activities such as employment, recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, and communications for corporate and branch locations. Responsibilities
Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization's human resource function and performance. Participate in the development of the organization's plans and programs as a strategic partner, particularly from the perspective of impact on people. Translate strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans. Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items affect attraction, motivation, development, and retention of people resources. Develop staffing strategies and implementation plans to identify talent within and outside the organization for positions of responsibility. Identify appropriate and effective external sources for candidates at all levels. Develop human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge, and talent gaps and develop programs to fill those gaps, including talent management, succession planning, training and development, and business development programs to enhance employee knowledge of the business and industry. Develop progressive compensation and benefits programs to motivate, incentivize, and reward performance. Develop programs to promote diversity and inclusion and to enable the full development and performance of all employees. Coordinate activities, programs, and strategic HR plans across other HR departments. Provide technical advice and knowledge within the HR department. Develop policies and programs for effective management of people resources, including employee relations, affirmative action, sexual harassment, employee complaints, external education, and career development. Establish credibility within the organization as an effective listener and problem solver of people issues. Oversee and conduct investigations of alleged violations of company policies and procedures; recommend corrective and disciplinary action. Review responses to employment-law related charges (EEOC, DOL, NLRB). Provide coaching to management on personal and organizational growth. Continuously improve programs, policies, practices, and processes to address strategic and operational people issues. Collaborate with legal counsel to establish and maintain a company-wide Affirmative Action Plan and 1-9 verification and participation. Evaluate the HR division structure and team plans for continual improvement and for professional and personal growth opportunities. Participate in planning and coordination of large-scale transitions. Oversee all regulatory and compliance aspects of the Human Resources function. Other duties may be assigned by the CHRO. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Human Resources/Business Management or related field Seven (7) years of related experience PHR certification and/or SPHR certification preferred Master’s Degree preferred Seniority level
