Overview

Business Consulting - Healthcare - Patient Access - Manager at EY. This role focuses on provider operations within EY’s Health consulting practice, working with a broad range of healthcare clients to assess and redesign clinical processes and support patient access initiatives. Key Responsibilities

Work with provider teams across not-for-profit and for-profit healthcare clients (hospitals, healthcare systems, physician practices, academic medical centers) to assess and redesign clinical processes. Lead client engagement teams, manage business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts, and deliver professional services. Focus areas include operational improvement, benchmarking and financial quantification, cost reduction/revenue enhancement, workflow redesign, and patient access initiatives including template management, template optimization, and scheduling algorithms. Team with EY’s provider team to solve complex problems in today’s rapidly changing healthcare environment. Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree with approximately 5 years of related work experience, or a master’s degree with approximately 4 years of related work experience. Approximately 4 years of healthcare consulting experience, preferably with prior experience as a manager (or higher). Required experience with patient access and centralized contact centers; ability to lead patient access initiatives including clinician management, template management/optimization, referral management, and scheduling algorithms within an ambulatory setting. Experience with centralization of patient access functions, including contact center staffing models and technology for various engagement channels. Ability to read and interpret hospital financial statements, use complex financial models, map operational processes, and participate in cost reduction planning and implementation in healthcare. Experience with healthcare organization M&A, physician alignment, or financial margin improvement initiatives; ability to sell and deliver projects across the full lifecycle of assessment, design, and implementation support. Ability to manage a team of staff/senior consultants; strong collaboration in a team environment; excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Visio (scheduling and referral workflows), and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel as required by client engagement. Ideally you’ll also have

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package. Base salary ranges: US locations $128,400 to $235,300; NYC Metro, WA, CA (excluding Sacramento) $154,000 to $267,400. Total rewards include medical/dental, pension and 401(k), and paid time off. Hybrid work model: most client-serving roles expected to work in person 40-60% of the time.
