Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a client in Upper Marlboro, MD in their search for a Senior Billing Coordinator to join their team. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for overseeing the billing process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and maintaining customer records in compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and process customer invoices in accordance with contractual requirements and company policies Maintain and update customer billing records in compliance with GAAP and SOX standards Reconcile billing discrepancies and collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues promptly Monitor accounts receivable and track outstanding invoices to ensure timely collections Generate and distribute regular billing reports for management review Assist with month-end and year-end close processes by providing billing data and reconciliations Ensure proper documentation is maintained for audits and regulatory compliance Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Experience with accounting software packages such as Sage Intacct Strong understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance requirements Previous experience in Federal and Local Government Contract billing is highly desirable Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
