Director, Publications & Communications Strategy, Global Medical Epilepsy is part of the Integrated Global Medical Epilepsy Team, a strategic partner within Worldwide Medical. The role is responsible for the development and execution of the core scientific platform that outlines key scientific statements in support of unmet need, mechanism of disease, and clinical data. It provides strategic leadership and execution on the development and delivery of a publication plan that drives impactful transfer of scientific knowledge, working cross-functionally and delivering compliant and impactful communications. It ensures that all publications for Epilepsy, including abstracts, posters, oral presentations, and manuscripts, are aligned with the core scientific narrative and strategic publication plan and follow industry-standard publication policies as well as Biogen SOPs. Responsibilities

Leads the development of the core scientific platform for epilepsy, in consultation with the Global Medical TA Lead. Leads the development and timely execution of a strategic publication plan that reflects integrated evidence generation planning, critical data readouts, interim/ad hoc analysis, etc. Manages publication and medical communication vendors to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard. Ensures external publications are aligned with the global publication plan and generated following Biogen SOPs and industry-standard publication practices; adheres to publication process excellence and innovation practices. Supports external landscape and literature review to raise awareness for the medical team. Demonstrates therapeutic area and product knowledge and serves as an expert on the development process of publications and medical communication materials. What You’ll Do

As above, leads the development of the core scientific platform and the strategic publication plan. Oversees publication and medical communication vendor management to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables. Ensures external publications follow SOPs and industry practices; drives process excellence and innovation. Supports external landscape/literature review for the medical team. Demonstrates deep therapeutic area knowledge and acts as an expert on publication development and medical communications materials. Who You Are

You are a scientific or clinical professional with a passion for science and deep scientific knowledge. You have a marked curiosity about healthcare and business opportunities. You keep patients, payers, and physicians top of mind in your daily work and collaborate to solve critical scientific and business challenges. Required Skills

MD, PhD, PharmD or comparable advanced degree is required. Minimum of 8+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience, including at least 3 years of strategic publication planning experience. Substitution of agency experience may be considered. Excellent project management skills, ability to work toward tight deadlines. Must be solutions oriented and comfortable operating in a matrix environment. Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $197,000.00-$271,000.00. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing factors including relevant skills and experience, job location, and internal equity. Regular employees are eligible to receive both short-term and long-term incentives, including cash bonuses and equity incentives, based on individual and company performance. Benefits
