Position Summary
The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring Apex’s financial health by managing outgoing payments and maintaining accurate financial records. This individual will process invoices, reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and build strong vendor relationships while supporting the overall finance and accounting functions. Key Responsibilities
Receive, verify, and reconcile vendor invoices for accuracy and proper authorization. Prepare and issue timely vendor and supplier payments. Maintain accurate records of all transactions, receipts, and vendor statements. Reconcile accounts and system reports to ensure accuracy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, purchase orders, or payments. Build and maintain strong vendor relationships. Provide administrative and clerical support to the accounting team, including assistance with financial reporting. Ensure compliance with company financial policies and regulatory requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of prior Accounts Payable experience. Superior problem-solving and organizational skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization. Experience with ERP systems and prior process improvements is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Benefits
