BEPC is actively seeking a dependable
Histology Associate
to support critical histotechnique operations within our clients RTD histology laboratories. This essential position is key to maintaining the continuity of laboratory functions, including attendance on weekends, holidays, and during emergency or exceptional conditions. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in histology, a strong focus on quality and safety, and the ability to thrive in a regulated, high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities Perform foundational histology techniques, including embedding, microtomy, cover slipping, processing, and primary staining. Operate laboratory and/or manufacturing equipment safely and effectively. Follow detailed instructions and
standard operating procedures (SOPs)
for all tasks. Monitor and prepare bulk reagents for laboratory use. Assist in preparation work for moderately complex techniques under senior technician direction.
Quality & Safety
Maintain compliance with all safety and quality regulations (OSHA, FDA, NMPA, ISO, QSR, and internal policies). Promptly report safety hazards, incidents, and near-misses using established reporting tools. Accurately perform and document all transactions related to material receipt, storage, and disbursement. Recognize and escalate issues with raw materials, equipment, or safety concerns. Achieve 95% or higher internal training compliance. Conduct 6S activities and maintain daily operational records. Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. Participate in team and tier meetings to support operational goals. Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to meet targets. Suggest improvements to work processes and laboratory equipment.

Qualifications Required
Education:
High school diploma or GED. Experience:
Minimum 1 year directly related histology experience. Proficiency with embedding, microtomy, cover slipping, processing, and primary staining. Experience operating laboratory or manufacturing equipment. Skills & Abilities:
Ability to read, analyze, and follow SOPs; Knowledge of basic manufacturing and laboratory techniques; Proficiency with Microsoft Word, email, and basic computer use; SAP experience required; Strong organizational skills, planning skills, and attention to detail; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities; Ability to work accurately in a high-volume environment; Ability to use industry technology and precision tools; Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 25 lbs; repetitive wrist/hand movements; good near visual acuity. Reliable and punctual attendance required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs). Familiarity with Lean / Continuous Improvement principles.
