What you’ll do

Financial advisors partner with clients to help them achieve long-term financial goals (retirement, building wealth, estate strategies, education funding, and more). You’ll develop and grow your own practice with support from your branch team, a home-office team, and regional financial advisors.

Lead the branch team to serve clients and contribute to the firm’s purpose while understanding clients’ goals to accelerate trust.

Engage in ongoing training and development to grow your practice and client base.

Key Responsibilities

Build relationships to create new clients via face-to-face and virtual sourcing strategies (residential, business, networking, referrals, social media, and speaking engagements).

Understand clients’ and prospective clients’ needs to create personalized strategies aligned with their goals.

Oversee branch processes and roles to ensure a high-quality, compliant client experience.

Collaborate with the branch team to monitor and adjust the branch business plan to achieve results.

Foster a highly engaging branch environment based on trust, respect, feedback, and accountability.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred or equivalent work-related experience in securities/financial services.

Financial services and/or sales experience.

Financial services registration, licensing, or certification.

Professional and/or military career progression.

Licensing

SIE (can be obtained without Firm sponsorship); Series 7 and Series 66 required. If not registered, registrations may be obtained at Edward Jones during the paid study period.

FINRA registrations required within three months. State insurance licenses will be required.

As an associate, complete ongoing training offered by the firm and regulatory authorities (FINRA/SEC) and required CE training to keep licenses in good standing.

Compensation program for new financial advisors includes trainee pay, a supplemental salary for up to five years, commissions, and new-asset compensation.

Supplemental starting salary range: $45,000 - $100,000.
