Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Manager, Treasury Accounting & Governance to join our Treasury team. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of treasury financial data, managing internal controls, and overseeing bank account governance across the organization. You will lead a team of three and work closely with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and our banking partners to maintain compliance and deliver accurate financial information. Responsibilities
Manage, coach, and develop a team of treasury professionals, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Manage daily and monthly bank/treasury management system/ledger reconciliations and ensure timely clearance of suspense accounts. Govern the lifecycle of bank accounts, including opening, closing, and signatory/access management, and maintain the official account inventory. Own the accounting between the Treasury Management System (TMS) and the General Ledger, ensuring cash accounting data is accurate and reconciled prior to posting. Lead analysis of treasury cash accounting outputs, explain movements, and support Finance in understanding variances. Oversee treasury management system accounting feeds, resolving exceptions promptly. Document and maintain treasury process narratives and internal controls, ensuring they remain current, effective, and audit-ready Act as primary liaison for treasury-related audits (internal and external). Develop and maintain business continuity plans for accounting and reconciliation functions. Drive process improvements and automation in reconciliation and control processes. Support bank relationship management for operating and investment accounts/portfolios. Lead bank fee analysis, identifying cost savings and negotiating with banks. Provide project management support for treasury operations, system upgrades, and process improvements. Administer bank portals and treasury management system, including security entitlements and compliance. Mentor and support the ongoing development of treasury staff. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred). Minimum of 5 years of treasury, accounting, or finance experience with strong controls knowledge. Professional designation (CTP or CPA) strongly preferred. Proven experience with treasury systems (FIS Integrity) and ERP systems (Oracle), experience highly beneficial. Strong understanding of cash accounting and the interaction between Treasury Management Systems and the General Ledger. Demonstrated ability to analyze and explain cash movements to finance stakeholders. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify risks and implement effective solutions. Excellent stakeholder management skills across the company Strong proficiency with MS Office and financial analysis tools Effective written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage shifting priorities, tight deadlines, and perform under pressure.
