Accounting Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Accounting Manager with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide leadership within the finance team. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing month-end close processes, and supporting strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP. Monitor and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and safeguard company assets. Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with leadership. Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax filings and reporting requirements. Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency within the finance function. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting or corporate accounting), including managerial experience. Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong leadership and team development skills. Demonstrated ability to streamline and improve accounting processes.
