Overview
Job Title: Senior Security Specialist – ISSO Clearance Required: US Citizen; Public Trust Work Location: Onsite at the Department of Treasury, 1500 Penn Ave, Washington, DC. Responsibilities
Provide subject matter expertise to ensure compliance with Treasury, DHS, and NIST cybersecurity policies and frameworks. Support the implementation and sustainment of security controls in alignment with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF). Assist system owners in maintaining Authorization to Operate (ATO) status. Enhance Treasury’s ability to measure, report, and manage cybersecurity posture and control effectiveness at a maturity level consistent with OIG FISMA Metrics Level 4 (Managed and Measurable). Strengthen collaboration and information sharing across internal Treasury offices and external partners to support cybersecurity risk reduction and resilience. Create and maintain documents like SSPs, POA&Ms, SARs, and other continuous monitoring reports/artifacts. Qualifications
Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or commensurate experience and education). Experience/Skills 5+ years of experience as ISSO. Highly responsive to customer needs. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting systems hosted in Cloud environments. Experience supporting systems in Agile and DevOps environments. Certifications (Must have one certification): Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Salary and Benefits
The likely salary range for this position is $86,000 - $120,000. Final pay is determined by factors including experience, skills, certifications, education, and contract provisions. Application Deadline
