Gen Re currently offers an excellent opportunity for a Human Resource Benefits Analyst. The Stamford, CT office is the preferred work location. A flexible work arrangement including remote working will be considered for the right candidate. Role Description The Human Resource Benefits Analyst is responsible for assisting with the administration and analysis of benefit and retirement plans for North America. The Human Resource Benefits Analyst is expected to interact confidently and professionally with both internal and external clients, to be a resource for responding to employee questions regarding benefit plans, and to perform analyses in support of benefit plan competitiveness. Key Responsibilities: Manage the annual Open Enrollment process Manage the benefit enrollment process for new hires, new retirees, life event changes for active employees, and COBRA administration for terminated employees Produce reports to support payment of monthly benefit carrier invoices and process weekly carrier wire requests Support the preparation, filing, and distribution of benefit plan 5500s, plan SARs Prepare enrollment data and documentation in support of retiree medical plans, including quarterly invoicing and production of monthly eligibility files to carrier Serve as primary contact for benefit plan carriers and regularly meet with carriers to discuss plan questions, benefit plan performance and trends, as well as potential plan changes Manage regulatory reporting and notification processes, such as ACA reporting, annual PCORI fee, creditable coverage notifications Perform analyses in support of annual benefit premium changes Respond to inquiries from employees and retirees regarding benefits and assist in problem resolution Complete annual benefit surveys for the purpose of measuring plan features against the market Produce monthly and quarterly reports as needed Process life insurance death benefit claims for active employees and retirees Role Qualifications and Experience Minimum of 5 years of HR Benefits experience Working knowledge of Power BI preferred Strong Microsoft Excel skills Working knowledge of PeopleSoft and PeopleDoc a plus Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce Benefits a strong plus Solid written and oral communications skills Excellent customer service/client relations skills Solid organizational and self-management skills Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and projects to completion Work effectively in a team-based environment Willingness to take on additional responsibilities High level of integrity with the ability to keep confidential information secure Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure and time constraints SHRM or CEBS certification a plus Salary Range 106,000.00 - 178,000.00 USD The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the US and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.
