Overview
Business Intelligence Engineer, Infra Capacity Delivery (AMER) role in AWS Infrastructure Services. We own the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure to keep the cloud running and support data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. We work on challenging problems with many variables affecting the supply chain and seek talented people to help. You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You will collaborate with AWS teams to deliver high safety and security standards while providing scalable capacity at cost-effective levels. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, enjoys data mining, and will develop core metrics to identify improvements, empower data-driven decision making, and build robust technical and analytical solutions to understand customer needs. You will extract, integrate, and work on critical data to build data pipelines, automate reports and dashboards, and enable self-service tools for internal stakeholders. Key responsibilities
Design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures for business intelligence analytics. Implement data structures using best practices in data modeling to provide on-line reporting and analysis using BI tools and a multi-source, multi-dimensional data abstraction. Gather and translate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions within the data architecture. Analyze source data systems and drive best practices across source teams. Analyze large datasets to discover problems, build metrics and business cases, and help business teams make decisions. Participate in the full development life cycle from design to delivery, including documentation, testing, deployment, support, and maintenance; produce comprehensive dataset documentation and metadata. Evaluate dataset implementations designed by peer data engineers and identify opportunities for business process improvements at the data level. Analyze business processes and, through data-driven insights, propose and implement improvements. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field 4+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. 4+ years of experience with data visualization using Tableau, QuickSight, or similar tools 4+ years of experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines 4+ years of experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling Preferred Qualifications

The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
