Basic Qualifications
Active Final Secret Clearance is required prior to starting IAT Level II (8570) Compliant Certification such as Security+CE, CASP+CE, GSEC, SSCP, CND, GICSP, etc. Understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, VLANs, UDP Multicast, and firewall configuration knowledge such as Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto Experienced in application of standard DOD security practices such as STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts Must have proven experience in developing cyber-secure network device configurations Ability to travel to alternate work locations, such as Schriever Space Force Base, to execute job duties such as deployments Job Code/Title

The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the C2BMC network to operational sites. This will include conducting research on different networking and security-related topics, producing reports on findings, and ensuring that team devices are STIG-compliant and hardened appropriately. Together, this national team supports the design, development, test, integration and fielding of hardware and software elements that enable the Missile Defense System (MDS) to function effectively and continually. You will also have the opportunity to interface with our key customers in the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). You have excellent writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to leadership. Scripting knowledge in Python, Ansible, PowerShell Solid understanding of JUNOS Prior C2BMC experience Intermediate knowledge of security design, development, and testing methodologies Experience with virtualization and VMware and ESXi STIGing/Hardening Ability to learn security hardening basics for a wide range of niche products, software, and applications Ability to summarize, brief, and recommend solutions to security issues to leadership Advanced network security certifications (e.g. Cisco CCNP, GSEC, SSCP, CISSP, CEH) Must be familiar with NIST CVE framework Other Important Information
