Principle Cyber Security Engineer (TS)

Eagle Harbor Solutions (EHS), a Koniag Government Services company, is hiring a Principle Cyber Security Engineer. Position requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with ability to obtain additional security requirements.

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Principle Cyber Security Engineer with a current Top Secret clearance to develop, and implement, our organization's vulnerability management program within a DoD environment. This role requires a strong technician who can effectively be a part of a team of security analysts, collaborate across departments, and ensure vulnerabilities are identified, prioritized, and remediated in a timely manner.
Core Responsibilities:
Assist the government lead to develop, and implement, the organization's vulnerability management program. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, DevOps, and work-centers, to drive the identification, prioritization, and remediation of vulnerabilities. Integrate threat intelligence to identify and prioritize emerging threats, including zero-day exploits. Schedule, configure, and operation of vulnerability scanning tools, specifically Tenable/ACAS. Provide timely vulnerability context to support incident response and forensic analysis activities. Work with security architecture and systems administrator teams to ensure security is built into new systems and applications from the start. Hands-on experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoD Instruction 8531.01, DoD Vulnerability Management. Potentially, lead and or participate in internal and external audits, providing evidence of vulnerability management activities. Use data analysis, reporting on vulnerability trends and program effectiveness, including key metrics such as remediation timelines, patch compliance rates, and risk reduction over time. Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in Information Assurance (IA) or cybersecurity, with a focus on vulnerability management. Experience with Tenable/Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and a basic understanding of Splunk. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel data analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline. Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required. Active enrollment in CE with a completed SF86 within the last 12 months. Desired Qualifications:
A Master's degree in a relevant field. CISM, CISSP, or other relevant IT certifications. Experience with project management and documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence.
