Job Title: Full-Stack Software Engineer - Proptech Job Type: Full-Time Location: Remote (US Only) or Hybrid (New York, NY) Job Summary
Join our team as our third technical hire and play a pivotal role in defining the product and technology landscape of a rapidly growing proptech company. You will collaborate directly with our CEO, CTO, and Head of Strategy to build innovative features, establish scalable systems, and shape the future of property technology. This is a unique chance to exercise both technical and creative influence while working in a high-growth, collaborative, and flexible environment. Key Responsibilities
Partner with leadership to influence product strategy and drive technical architecture decisions. Build, iterate, and scale high-impact features that support rapid business growth. Ensure seamless integration across the backend (Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL) and frontend (React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and execute new initiatives. Champion code quality, documentation, and best practices throughout the development lifecycle. Contribute to infrastructure improvements, including an upcoming migration from Render.com to AWS or GCP. Required Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in full-stack software engineering. Strong experience building and scaling applications using Ruby on Rails. Solid understanding of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases. Excellent written and verbal communication skills—your ability to share ideas clearly matters to us. Demonstrated passion for creative problem-solving and implementing emerging technologies. Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously in a remote-first environment. Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in proptech, insurtech, or rapidly scaling startups. Familiarity with infrastructure services like AWS, GCP, AppSignal, Github Actions, or Cloudflare. Exposure to TypeScript and cloud platform migrations. Why Join Us?
