5:00 p.m. - 8:45 p.m., part-time evenings (working hours may vary) Job Description
Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the Strengthening Families Supervisor and Prevention Supervisor, will facilitate the Strengthening Families Program curriculum with groups of parents, adolescents or children, virtually or in person. This is a once-a-week, 14-week program for parents and their children at risk for substance misuse ages 7-17. The program encourages family bonding by increasing communication skills. Minimum Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED) Experience: Teaching or leading groups with stressed families/families in crisis, adults, adolescents, or children is preferred. License or Certification: 7-hour self-paced videos plus a 3-day Strengthening Families Program Family Coach Training. If hired, the candidate will be required to take this training offered by the University of Maryland on a later date. Notes: Bilingual Spanish/English skills required Desired or Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, human services or public health preferred. How to Apply
