Regional Risk Control Manager
for the Central Region. This strategic leadership opportunity offers a competitive compensation package, excellent benefits, and flexibility to work remotely within select Southern states or from one of the region’s branch offices. Regular overnight travel to customer sites and regional offices is required. Position Overview:
This individual will oversee regional risk control operations, providing leadership and strategic direction to a team of risk control consultants. The role ensures high-quality service delivery, promotes professional growth within the team, and supports the company’s broader underwriting and client engagement objectives. Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Leadership
Lead and support a regional team of risk control professionals, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Oversee workload distribution, conduct performance evaluations, and foster team development through training and mentorship.
Serve as a strong ambassador of the company’s mission, values, and culture.
Operational Oversight & Strategy
Maintain and refine departmental procedures while collaborating with internal stakeholders to address operational and personnel issues.
Support underwriting with technical insight and reporting; contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives.
Utilize technology and analytics platforms to monitor team performance and deliver transparent service metrics.
Service Delivery & Technical Execution
Perform or oversee complex and sensitive risk control services for key accounts and large prospects.
Balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on service delivery through regular travel across the assigned region.
Deliver safety training and attend customer meetings to support engagement and risk mitigation strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with underwriting and business development teams to align risk control services with company goals.
Present at internal meetings and contribute to thought leadership within the risk control and underwriting communities.
Strengthen relationships with agency partners and key accounts to support client retention and new business growth.
Team Development & Innovation
Provide coaching, mentoring, and onboarding support for both new and experienced consultants.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by sharing industry best practices and staying current on emerging trends.
Step in to provide coverage support across the team as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Risk Management, or a related field preferred
10+ years in Risk/Loss Control, with experience in sectors such as Commercial Construction, Forestry, Public Entities, or Oil & Gas
Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience
Proficiency with platforms such as Risk Control Technologies, Power BI, and Microsoft Office; virtual conferencing tools
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to manage ambiguity
Effective written and verbal communicator with a professional demeanor
Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks effectively
Professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, ARM) preferred or willingness to obtain
Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, and other applicable regulatory standards
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel overnight regularly
Work Environment:
Hybrid work model available
Must be physically able to inspect job sites, including bending, kneeling, climbing, and walking
May occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
