This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.The Data Scientist Co-op will support the Data Management and Science team in SAS programming, as well as the maintenance and development of analytical tools. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on real-world manufacturing data projects, contribute to cloud-based data models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence business decisions on production, quality, and supply chain.What You’ll Do• Design new and enhance existing SAS-based analytical tools for different functional teams• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation• Maintain and improve interactive dashboards and reports using tools like SAS Visual Analytics or Power BI• Collaborate with IT and Data Engineering teams to debug and design data models in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Snowflake• Conduct statistical modeling and root cause analyses to identify trends and generate insights• Create and maintain analytical training instruction slides to support knowledge sharingWhat We Seek• Minimum GPA of 3.2• Proficiency in SAS programming (Base SAS, SAS/STAT), SAS programming certification plus• Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data• Solid knowledge of statistics (e.g., ANOVA, regression, hypothesis testing)• Understanding of common machine learning models• Experience with data visualization tools (SAS Visual Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teamsDesired Major(s) & Graduation Year• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Statistics• Expected to graduate in 2026Eligibility• Must be a currently enrolled student• Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June.• Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op programWhy Work at EntegrisLead.
