The Histotechnician II is responsible for performing complex histology procedures with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. This role requires strong technical expertise in tissue preparation, embedding, microtomy, and special/immunohistochemical staining. The Histotech II works independently with minimal supervision, mentors junior staff, and ensures quality standards and turnaround times are consistently met to support patient care. Requirements Successful completion of Histotechnician Program from a NAACLS accredited School; or an Associate Degree and training at a hospital and met ASCP eligibility requirements for certification; or ASCP certified. 2 years experience in Histology preferred. Working knowledge of Special Stains/IHC Technique.
