Senior Business Analyst

is a strategic contributor within the Bearing Business Unit (BBU) Business Management team, responsible for advancing pricing strategy, overseeing complex quoting activities, and delivering actionable insights that shape business direction. This role goes beyond transactional support—leveraging advanced analytics, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to influence decision-making at multiple levels of the organization. The Senior Business Analyst may also manage specific product lines, lead special projects, and mentor other analysts. Essential Duties and Accountabilities: This person may lead or assist in the activities listed but are not limited to the following: Lead full quoting activities by analyzing product costs, competitive pricing, and profitability for strategic accounts or product lines. Manage and maintain customer price lists and agreements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business strategy. Resolve complex pricing issues within Oracle ERP and oversee mass price adjustment initiatives. Collaborate with leadership to develop long-term pricing strategies and profitability improvement plans. Analytics: Transform large datasets into clear, concise summaries and visualizations that support executive decision-making and long-term business planning. Apply predictive and historical analysis to identify trends, assess risks, and recommend actionable next steps. Provide financial and market analysis to support contract negotiations, pricing decisions, and strategic initiatives. Lead special projects and reporting initiatives that influence business priorities. Assess and optimize standard business processes to drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Leverage tools such as Power BI, automation, or advanced analytics techniques to strengthen reporting and insight delivery. Partner with cross-functional teams to recommend and implement sustainable process improvements. Leadership / Influence: Serve as a subject matter expert for pricing and business analytics within the BBU. Mentor junior and associate analysts, providing guidance on technical and analytical development. Influence cross-functional stakeholders by presenting data-driven recommendations to leadership and decision-makers. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI). Proficient in ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and comfortable with database tools. Strong knowledge of business acumen, profitability analysis, and strategic decision support. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to simplify complex data into actionable insights. Proven ability to independently plan, prioritize, and deliver complex projects. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to influence, advise, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders. Continuous improvement mindset with experience leveraging analytics and technology to optimize processes. Education and Experience: Education

: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Data Analytics, or Business Analytics. Experience (desired):

5+ years solving analytical problems in a business environment. 5+ years working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, with demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and influence stakeholders. Experience managing product lines, projects, or strategic business initiatives preferred.
