Overview
Assists in the development, organization and implementation of high quality, member-focused YMCA aquatic programs. Qualifications
Minimum age 21 with at least 2 years of experience and proven success in a leadership role within aquatics that includes supervision. Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching swim lessons to all age groups and levels. Requirements upon date of hire include: completion of Child Abuse Prevention trainings; Lifeguard, CPR; First Aid; AED; Oxygen Administration; Blood borne Pathogens. Current Instructor certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment) for American Red Cross Lifeguard and Y Swim Lesson Trainer. Must have or be willing to obtain within 6 months: Pool Operator Certification and Trained Pool Operator Certification. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. Physical Demands
Physical Demands: Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to supervise program activities.
